我猜這是現實主義唯一真正的源頭. 現實主義就是失去了原動力的浪漫主義. 不止精神錯亂的本質是如此, 自殺行為亦然. 現實主義之所以存在, 就是因為原動力的消褪.

[I fancy]是一個插入句, 原句就是:
That is the only true origin of Realism.

而插入句的寫法有好幾種, 常用的是前後加上逗號, 最為清楚; 但是也可以都不用(尤其是短句).
只用一半(前or後)的方式較少見, 多半是考量語氣的表達.
