"hanky-panky"這個字算是非常接近男女關係間，程度深一點的"曖昧"關係，而且這字的唸音也相當傳神，維基線上百科對"hanky-panky"有這樣的解釋:
“The expression hanky-panky has more than one meaning, generally used to mean any number of activities of which the speaker does not approve, as in "I think there was some hanky-panky with the last election." or "The kids were up to some hanky-panky just now, but they had innocent looks on their faces when I looked in on them."
