"美到讓人心碎"怎樣翻英文? ----
簡單表示"美麗的"的單字當然粉多：attractive, beauteous, bonny [chiefly British], comely, cute, fair, gorgeous, handsome, knockout, lovely, pretty, ravishing, sightly, stunning...
但如要從版主的中文"讓人心碎"來著手，可以用"heartrendingly"或"heartbreakingly"這個字，美麗則可以用上面所列之"beautiful"，"gorgeous"等等：
"heartrendingly"＝"heartbreakingly"的來源，是用到英語裡的"組合字"加工原理，其過程是由"heart"(心)+"rend"(弄碎(動詞))合起來，再加現在分詞"ing"，變成形容詞"heartrending"，意思就是"令人心碎的"；然後再加副詞結尾字"ly"，變成"heartrendingly"，意思就成了"令人心碎地"
為了驗證，在Yahoo!的美國首頁，用"heartrendingly beautiful"或"heartbreakingly gorgeous"找，可以看到不少網頁使用，表式"美的不得了"，用來形容各種事物，音樂，景緻等等，不過有些網站是用來形容一種"悲悽之美的感受"，如底下第四個網頁：
