當然不是這樣改囉!
「分詞構句」都是用來說明「主要子句」所敘述事件「之所以會/可能如此...」的緣由的，即使是「絕對（「自由」）分詞構句」亦然。「絕對分詞構句」雖然在文法上不必跟主要子句有所關聯，在文意上卻仍然不能跟主要子句離題。
應該改為
Worried about getting into trouble, they took off without delay.
