Estás perfectamente encaminada por el uso de "would" pero no con "end up", es más sencillo de lo que todos creen, yo diría "I made all the necessary changes so that the drawing would be fine".

Todas estas maneras estan bien dichas, solamente es cuestion de lo que le llaman en ingles (stylistic writing), que significa el estilo de como uno escribe.
la mayoria de los que respondieron estan mas o menos bien, solo recuerda la coma despues de la palabra THINGS.

En Español yo lo diría de otra forma: Mejoré el dibujo cambiando algunas cosas...
El dibujo quedó más...tras cambiarle unos detalles..
En Inglés, creo que tú lo llevas mejor.

"quiero que quede bien" suena muy egoista.

lo correcto seria decirlo de esta manera: "I changed a few things so the drawing looks better(or good)"
o puedes usar.
"I changed a few things in the drawing for it to look better( or good)
