The weather gets hotter as it gets closer to July.
The weather gets hotter as it approaches July.
這裡 get 是動詞，第一個 gets 也可以用 is 或是 turns| (轉變) 來取代。
接近可以用 get(s) closer 這個詞，也可以用 approach(es) 這個單字，意思是一樣的。
另一位網友追尋自己的一片天的回答有點小錯。
Hotter已經是比較級了，前面不該加 more.
就算要表現出『非常熱』的意思，也該用 much hotter.

As July draws near, it gets hotter (and hotter). = July approaching, it gets hotter. = The nearer July is, the hotter it gets. = The closer we get to July, the hotter it becomes.

一般對於天氣與時間, 都習慣以it來指稱. 不過在這個句子中同時出現時, 或許有造成語意混淆的疑慮. (當然也有可能是在下多慮了^_^)

1、使用英文文法「形容詞er+形容詞er」 表示越來越…
2、使用it's +形容詞+to v的句型
所以翻成：
The weather(可用it代替) is getting hotter and hotter to close July.

這種比較級的句型為
The 比較級 S + V, the 比較級 S + V
因此
The closer it gets to July, the hotter it is/becomes.
或者用一般比較級配合連接詞寫法
It is/becomes hotter as it gets closer to July.
甚至用分詞構句寫法也成
Getting closer to July, it is/becomes hotter.

The closer you get to July, the hotter the weather becomes.
There's probably other ways to say the same thing too, but that's the most straightforward sentence I can think of.
