這句的stands 若替換成 is located

(A) "地方副詞＋動詞＋主詞"
這是幾種倒裝句型之ㄧ。
另外還有一種倒裝句型是將主詞補語放到句首：
(B) "主詞補語＋ＢＥ動詞＋主詞"
這種句型通常是為了強調主詞補語，或是因為主詞結構太長而避免頭重腳輕的寫法：
He who gives attention to the word will find good,
And blessed is he who trusts in the LORD. 　～　Bible
你的原句動詞是 stand，主動語氣，所以比較沒有問題，動詞只有一個，所以倒裝句只有 (A) 句型的寫法。
如果把 stand 改成 is located，則會有兩種寫法：
1. 句型(A)：
Next door in Jordan (地方副詞) is located (動詞) the ancient city of Petra (主詞).
2. 句型(B)：
Located next door in Jordan (以located引導分詞片語作主詞補語) is (BE動詞) the ancient city of Petra (主詞).
以上兩種句子都有可以，感覺上似乎以主詞補語來寫的句型(B)較常見。
但句型(A)的寫法也是偶有遇之：
