1.你不可以做這件事﹕Don't do it! You can't do it!
這是命令句﹐有禁止或警告的意味﹐是絕對的否定﹐是“強制”性的。
2.你可以不做這件事﹕You can opt to not do it. You can choose to not do it.
表示建議對方不做﹐但仍然讓對方有做或不做的選擇﹐是“非強制”性的。
因此這兩句是有明顯差異的。

You can't do this.
You do not to do this.(do是強調用法，不可以用don't)
Maybe you don't do this.(也許你可以不做這件事)
"你可以不做這件事"(好難 = =")，可能要參考一下文法類的書。
