請問他們的差異在哪裡，可以通用嗎？

safety 是平安, 用在人身安全的意思,

Security是安全感, 要做防護或防禦(措施)得到安全保障~

safety 是籠統地講安全或不受傷害或遭受危險的意思.

For example:
There are fears for the safety of the climbers.
人們擔心登山者遭遇不測.

It's very important to teach children about road safety.
教育孩子交通安全的常識是很重要的.


security 則指育預防傷害或損失而採取的部驟或措施.
例如: 保全人員就叫 security guards.

For example:
The Queen's visit has been marked by tight security.
女王來訪時的特點是其嚴格的安全保衛措施.


此外, security 若用複數 securities, 還可成翻為 "證券"的
意思.

For example:
There has been heavy trading in government securities.
政府發行的有價證券, 交易十分活絡.
