incur = 導致某某事情發生,重點在「導致」;是一個consequence(因果)。
例:incur a penalty
造句:Due to Billy's incompetence, the whole team incurred the penalty of sacrificed lunch breaks and extended working hours, just so that the project deadline could be met.
occur = 某某事情發生,不需要原因。
例:an unexplainable occurence
造句:The policeman was taking witness statements of what occurred at the scene of the unfortunate accident between a cyclist and dump truck.
Whilst walking home in the rain one day, it suddenly occurred to me that I hadn't taken a shower in days.

★ incur : to become liable or subject to through one's own action
例如: He incurred her hatred (他受到她的厭惡).

3. occur = happen (發生)
