IS optical, effective ...
Lens is also good Carl Zeiss system (internal reflector) (not as sharp as regular lens)

lens is only 38mm wide, not even 35mm,
less MP than t100
older,
But IS is also effective.
Size is also slim and image quality is good, a good indoor camera.

Widest lens 28mm, very important for LANDSCAPE photography ...
aperture is f2.8 wide open.
IS=Image stabilization optical, very effective ...
Lens = LEICA ... very sharp and natural color...

good for outdoor.

Conclusion :
if you like outdoor landscape, Pana FX50 is the choice, for its f2.8, wide 28mm lens ... more zoom.
For indoor more and party type, I will pick Sony DSCt100 which is famous for party camera and indoor BIG HEAD photos ... the focus system is optimized for that purpose ... the image is SHARPEN to most user taste.
