1. DNA can be used in medical therapetic ways as "the gene therapy".
because some of the diseases are related to the mistakes in endogenous proteins or the genes... by introducing the correct genes in the form of DNA segments to the patient, the DNA can be expressed then the patient can gain the right protein for its function, and to achieve the curing purpose.

2. DNA is widely used in the cloning techniques. Theoretically we can clone anything we want if we have their whole DNA... but in reality there are still many problems. Cloning techniques are important in food industry, in argriculture, in Medicine... and it also makes an advantage on saving vanishing species.

1) criminal ID: they can isolated DNA from hair, blood,,,,,,, etc
2) Gene mapping for genetic disease: 唐氏症等等
3) cloning: great discovery such as diabetes's drug are used cloning method to amplify a lot of protein to do this drug
4) gene therapy: not in taiwan yet and not widely used yet
5) your own gene profile for different drug: still not widely used yet (only a draft )
