aplha has 2 proton and 2 neuron
beta has 1 electron
statement (1) is incorrect

The magnitude of charge carried by beta and alpha is partly related to the degree of deflection under E-field or magnitic field. However, the two particles have very different masses. The alpha has approximately 1800 times the mass of the beta. Larger magnetic/electric force is needed to deflect alpha particle.

The animation shows how much aplha, beta and gamma deflect under magnetic field.
