Niigata port to operate China route 3 times a week

The Bureau of Transportation, Ports & Airports of Niigata Prefecture announced on March 7 that Niigata port's China containership service will be upgraded to a thrice-a-week service from the current twice-a-week run as Kambara Kisen Kaisha will realign its service shortly. The enhanced service will directly call at Shanghai/Ningbo, marking the port's first direct service to Ningbo, while it will boost Shanghai calls to three times a week from the current semi-weekly operation.
The new service will be provided on a fixed-day weekly basis with the 561-TEU Ryoga and the 602-TEU Lan Hai. Rotation will be: Niigata (Mon), Otaru (Wed), Ningbo (Tue), Shanghai (Wed), Kanazawa (Sat), Toyama (Sun), Niigata. It will begin calling at Niigata on March 19.
With the additional service, Niigata port will operate a total of 11 international container trade routes consisting of seven on the Pusan route, three on the China route and one on the Southeast Asia route

新瀉縣港灣空港交通局宣布，由於神原汽船株式會社將在短期內進行業務重整，故自3月7日起新瀉港之中國貨櫃航線將從目前的一週兩班提高為一週三班。新增之航運業務包括目前的一週兩班擴增為一週三班，以及加開上海往寧波之航次，同時這也將是新瀉港往寧波的首次航班。
