nell'inglese non sempre si può tradurre esattamente dall'italiano.....IL MIO CONSIGLIO:quel "tanto" si può indicare anche come "comunque".. oppure meglio ancora "in ogni caso"=anyway

nel caso specifico avrebbe poco senso cercare una traduzione letterale per quel "tanto"... l'espressione in toto la tradurrei con qualcosa tipo:
"I'd like to quit everything, it wouldn't help anything"
Ovviamente è una traduzione al volo e senza conoscere il contesto, per cui vale quel che vale.
