Graham te ha dado varias opciones correctas, yo diria "Better dead than humble" o si se quiere acentuar mas a poseción "I'm better dead than humble", otra forma es utilizando el would rather: "I'd rather be dead than humble" ... humble literalmente traducido significa "modesto".
