Temple Street
Under Yau Tsim Mong District,
From Man Ming Lane Near by Yau Ma Tei MTR to Austin Road Near by Jordan MTR.

The Temple Street Market is one of Hong Kong's most famous open-air markets, which really comes to lift at dusk, with a bustling array of stalls selling everything from watches and leather-ware to clothing and souvenirs.

Merchants specialize in inexpensive men's clothing, novelty items, luggage and watches, and other merchandise. Fortunetellers, palm readers and, sometimes, Chinese opera singers, make the market a fascinating street theatre.

In past years, locals favored Temple Street, with its various bargains. While in recent years, the market's popularity with visitors has driven prices up, so the bargains are not what they were. If you want to buy mainly clothes, shoes, leather, watches and everyday items, you'd better go to the shops hidden in the streets behind the stalls, unless you are very adept at evaluating and bargaining.

The place was built during the Qing Dynasty and it was named after a temple to Tin Hau was constructed there. It settled at banyan at the middle of the street (the place is called Yung Shue Tau). In this park, there are also two other temples which is Kwun Yum Temple and Shing Wong Temple.
