其實應徵工作有很多種講法, 看你怎樣用, 比如:

to apply for a job 是說應徵某樣工作, 比如: I am going to apply for a job, 我要去應徵一份工作, I am applying for a job that I am interested. 我正在應徵一份我有興趣的工作.

job application 名詞, 也就是找尋工作這件事, 比如: How is your job application? 你工作找的如何? job application 也可以用job hunting, job hunting是比較通俗的講法, 比如: I am having a job hunting recently. 我最近在找/應徵工作.

如果你是要跟應徵的公司講, 你想要應徵該公司的工作, 你可以用: I would like to apply for the job position in your company. Job position, 指該職位, apply是動詞, 表示你是要應徵該公司的該職位....

Applying for the job.
If you go to the company directly, then you can tell them that "I'm coming here for a interview".
If you are writting a resume to a company, then you may write as "I am interested at the job of XXX" or "I would like to apply the position of XXX".
It is all depends on what kind of situation that you are in.
