Pessoal, qual a diferença entre 'think of' e 'think about'? Quando q eu uso um ou outro?

Basicamente não há diferença mas eu vou te dar uns exemplos veja:

to think of / to think about significam "pensar em".

Ex:
What do you think of me? - O que você pensa de mim? What do you think about me?


Think well about what you are going to do.
Pense bem no que você vai fazer.

OBS:
Nas formas no IMPERATIVO não use of, use about. veja:

think about your life.
pense na sua vida.

Dont’t think about her, think about your family.
Não pense nela, pense na sua família.

think of = pensar em.
Ex. I thought of you last night
(Pensei em você ontem a noite)

think about = pensar sobre.
Ex. I'm thinking about your problem
(Estou pensando sobre o seu problema)

Aparentemente não há diferença alguma. Pode-se usar "think of" ou "think about" indiferentemente.

Não há uma explicação gramaticalm, mas pragmática: às vezes tu apenas diz "think" (pensar, achar); noutras tu precisas dizer ""think about something" (pensar sobre algo).

Por exemplo: do you really think that Bush was right? / Yes, I do think that...

Ou: What do you think about that movie? / Well, I think that it is very instructive...
