using the eqution of motion, with initial velocity = 0 m/s, we have
s = (1/2).g.t^2
where s is the height of the building, g is the acceleration due to gravity and t is the time taken.
Taking g=9.81 m/s2,
s = 4.905.t^2
hence measuring the time enables the height of the building to be found.

By s=ut+(1/2)at^2
u=0
a=10m/s^2
LET T=10
height of the building=distance travelled=1/2(10)10^2=500m
assume there is no air resistance
