Io lo direi cosi'....
"That's what they [just] told me!" (in tono rassegnato) oppure
"They already told me that!" (in tono esasperato) oppure
la versione di Fabiana (in tono formale, a denti stretti pero')

Come in italiano, il passivo e' poco usato nell'inglese parlato, e il preterito tende a sostituire il passato prossimo.

Hai solo l'imbarazzo della scelta!
