I don't speak spanish all that well, although i used to live in texas. I do however want to be a doctor, and to be competitive foreign schools are good for resumes. so are there many good medical schools in mexico?

Well, there are not many but there are some good medical schools in Mexico. But do you want to know if there are in MEXICO CITYor in MEXICO COUNTRY?

Yes, there are many universities, but not everyone is good, I heard the UNAM and IPN in México city are very good (and they have contracts with universities in other countries, so you can do 1 semester in other place). There are many private schools, more expensive, but not with good contacts to do practical trainings or social services.

Yes, there are many good medical schools,(aka Escuela de Medicina o Facultad de Medicina if its at University) almost every state (public and private) university has "una facultad de Medicina" you also try to make postgrade studies in many medical researches.

there are many institutes for making post grade studies.
like cardiología, pediatria cancerología etc.

Ask for Centro Medico siglo XXI and Hospital General those buildings allow some speciality studies in all medical areas.


You should begin looking for "UNAM facultad de medicina because it is one of the most prestigious universities in whole México".


The Universidad La Salle has an excellent medical school too.

Guadalajara have one, have more but Im dont know, I can"t remember, and Dominican Republic have more. I study in Dominican Rep. Universidad Iberoamericana, I"m sorry whit my english and the other is Universidad Central del Este (UCE). I recomend Unibe or Universidad Iberoamericana because is in the capital of the country and have class in english and you found more student of USA, and other country.
