it´s about bargaining

if you consider a price of some products like a box of cigarretes in two o more shooping places then you compare prices you should think of "In some of those places I've seen that I find a price cheaper and I find a price more expensive."

then you'd said in spanish in one place is más barato (cheaper) and in the other place the price of same product is more expensive (más caro).

they are price comparatives.

La broma:
Mas caro = give me your wallet (de me su billetera)
Mas barato = here is your change (aquí esta su cambio)

La otra pregunta:
¿Porque quiere engañar nos? Dice no habla español, pero recién ha hablado muy bien.

Why do you want to deceive us? You say you don’t speak Spanish, but you have just spoken it very well.

La verdad:

Mas Caro:
more expensive (Ingles)
plus cher (francés/French)
kostspieliger (Alemán/German)
più costoso (italiano/Italian)
أغلى (árabe/Arabic)
较贵 (chino/Chinese)
より高い (japonés/Japanese)
더 비싼 (coreano/Korean)
mais caro (portugués/Portuguese)
дороже (rosu/Russian)

Mas barato:
more expensive (Ingles)
meilleur marché (francés/French)
preiswerter (Alemán/German)
più poco costoso (italiano/Italian)
أرخص (árabe/Arabic)
便宜 (chino/Chinese)
より安い (japonés/Japanese)
더 싼 (coreano/Korean)
mais barato (portugués/Portuguese)
дешевле (rosu/Russian)
