Sweet Home Alabama -banda Lynyrd Skynyrd - autor parece que foi o PETE TOWNSHEND
...Entre o fãs do Lynyrd Skynyrd havia um inglês de nome PETE TOWNSHEND, ele mesmo, o guitarrista do THE WHO. Em 1973 ele convidaria o LS para ser a banda de abertura durante a tournê do álbum QUADROPHENIA. SECOND HELPING (ironicamente nesse disco a sexta faixa se chama SWAMP MUSIC ("Musica do Pantano") foi o segundo disco gravado pelo LS e é dele um outro clássico que atravessa o tempo, a música SWEET HOME ALABAMA.

quem compôs eu não sei, mas esta música ficou famosa com o conjunto Lynard Skynard. e como os Mamonas também morreram em um acidente áereo
