Wer war Pearly Spencer (bekannt aus dem Lied von David McWilliams/Marc Almond)?

Gut das jemand hier an diesem grossartigen Lied erinnert. "The days of Perly Spencer" ist bis heute eins der aussergewöhnlisten Song die je geschrieben wurden; man nennt sowas ein "One hit Wonder" aber ich finde die Arrangements dermaßen originell das es auf meiner Liste unter den TOP 10 für immer bleiben wird. Die Stimme McWilliams klingt wie aus dem Megaphon rausgeschossen und die Streicher im Hintergrund geben dem Song eine Dynamik die mich immer am Start der Apollo 11 erinnert. Hier den Text, aus dem man leicht erahnen kann das der Hauptdarsteller ein Obdachloser war ;-):
