這是我在空英上聽到的唷
而且不一次!所以應該沒錯
我在此解釋一下
一般西方人都將年份拆開唸
1944-nineteen forty four
就像您說的!
19-44
但是2000如果還念 two thousand zero zero或 two thousand o o
豈不是太長了?
所以外國人是不會這樣念的!
美國人力求簡單,所以你不需要想太多~~
到了2044年,他們還是會唸成 twenty forty four的
就會變成XX-XX的念法囉!!

2000年: year two thousand
西元2000年，也就是西元後兩千年，也可以寫成:
year two thousand after Christ
如果你要寫千禧年，就是: millennium

2000 = year thousand
1944 = nineteen fourty four { no and }
year 放前面
有人會講 I born in 1944
或是 I born in year 1944
但沒人會講 I born in 1944 year..

2004 twenty-o-four 或 two hundred four 這句怪怪的。我是兩個從來都沒有聽過 (也有可能是我沒在注意那些吧)。我是會講 two thousand and four。
順便講一下，不可以講 two thousand year(s) 喔，要講 year two thousand 或是 two thousand。
