le traduzioni precedenti sono errate fai attenzione, sia per soggetto che per tempo verbale.
1) When I knew he/she would sing, I decided to....
2) When I knew he/she was about to sing, I decided to...

Aggiungo ! Learned also means knew! Quando ho saputo, quando seppi, quando sono venuto a conoscenza, quando sono stato informato = "when I learned...."
