therefore 才有 "因此" (consquently) 的意思, thereof 不太一樣.
thereof 的本義是: of it 或 of that, 所以有些中文的翻譯勉強翻成 "由此", 但跟 "因此" 的意思並不同.
例如: I have a question and the answer thereof. 我有一個問題和它 (這個問題) 的答案.
攤開來寫, 也就是: I have a question and the answer of it.
但therefore 意思是 "因此" , 例如:
I am ill, and therefore I cannot work. 我病了, 因此我不能工作.
在這裏並不能用thereof 替換.

是consequently
