感官動詞 see watch look hear listen....

2. +V-ing

ex:
I heard him say so.

I can hear someone knocking.

a. John was walking down the street when the bank was robbed.
b. While John was walking down the street, he saw a bank robbed.

"感官動詞"包括有 : see, watch, hear, look at, listen to, feel.

+V-ing. (3). + p.p.

(1) I saw Jack "dance" at the party. (接原形V)
(2) I saw Peter "playing" basketball in the park. (接Ving)
(3) I saw a dog "killed" by a bus.

John was walking down the street when the bank was robbed.
While John was walking down the street, he saw a bank robbed.

..., he swa a bank robbed (by someone).
..., he saw a bank which was robbed (by someone).

..., he saw [ a bank robbed ] (by someone).
..., he saw a bank [ which was robbed ] (by someone).

a. John was walking down the street when the bank was robbed.

b. While John was walking down the street, he saw a bank robbed.
While John was walking down the street, he saw a bank "which was" robbed.
1.I know a man who is named John.
也可用
2.I know a man named John.

While John was walking down the street, a bank was being robbed. While John was walking down the street, he saw a bank being robbed.

被動句 a bank was being robbed= a bank was being robbed by a robber,但是後面by a robber也可以不用寫,因為大家都知道是被搶匪搶劫的,所以無須多此一舉,只需寫“一個銀行被搶”就行了。

While John was walking down the street, he saw a robber robbing a bank. While John was walking down the street, a robber was robbing a bank.
