這是最基本的行銷議題:我們最早賣高爾夫球會賠光,而市場不會買第二個廠商出的球,最可行的產品是介於這中間,可是在哪裡呢?
這邊應該是要討論,當新的高爾夫球產品出現時的行銷策略。新的如果有問題,就不會賺錢;可是如果第一個開發這種產品的公司賣的很成功,大家就不願意買別的球,接下來模仿他們產品的公司,就賺不到錢了。所以在介於兩者之間,不知道是否有個折衷的方法,既不會先出賣了賠錢,又不會後出失去商機。

真是領教了下面的Ntrlvr,每次都能找到原文。
依照原文,那當然就得把翻譯中的「最早賣高爾夫球」變成賣第一類球,「第二個廠商出的球」改成第二類球了。根據表格的結果,表格裡的三種球,第一種便宜的是最適合市場的球,也就是這裡說的第一類,第三種是最貴的、以製造花費的角度來看最理想的球,也就是第二類。
所以就是賣第一類球會賠光,而市場不會買第二類球,最可行的產品是介於兩者之間的產品,可是是哪一種呢?

是從 Conjoint Analysis 出來的問題吧。沒錯,是指GOLF BALL。順便告訴你Average Driving Distance是指高爾夫的開球平均距離(開球用的1-3號木桿就叫Driver),Average Ball Life則是平均每一顆球的壽命。本篇討論的是所謂 Heritable Analysis,既以第一顆開球距離跟平均每顆球及售價之間的關係。
