The amount of rain affects the growth of crops.
She was deeply affected by the news of her father's death.

He effected several important changes.

另外,
affect當動詞:
He affected not to see her.
She affects old furniture and china.
This had a great effect upon the future of both mother and son.
I said a few words to the effect that all he had told us was already well known.

"Affect" 是動詞,意思是 "to have an influence on"(對......有影響)或 "to bring about a change in"(為.... Does second hand smoke affect the health of all of us?
Only the president can effect such a change. The drug did not affect the disease, and it had several adverse side effects.
