The specimen submitted consisted of a segment of colon, measuring

Grossly, they were tan-brownish in color. Representative sections were
iframeded.

Microscopically, the sections show the picture of edema and focal
hyperemia of the submucosal layer, and focal fibrosis of the pericolic
adipose tissue.Marked erosion over focal mucosa of the small piece of
intestinal wall is also noted. No evidence of malignancy
