dozen的用法~英文高手請近！！

請問．．．
A dozen of eggs (is / are ) NT100.
那個括號內是要選is 還是 are.........
有肯定答案的才回答~不要說不確定．．
急．．

但是就你說的,dozen 當打是可數,
那a dozen就是當單數,這樣應該適用is阿!!

dozen 這個字有兩種複數型態：dozen 和 dozens (注意：hundred, thousand, million 和 billion 也有這樣的兩種複數型態，而且用法也跟下面有關 dozen 的敘述完全一樣)。dozen 加 s 的複數型態 -- 即 dozens -- 可以單獨使用，也可用 「of 介系詞片語」來修飾，例如："Complaints came the next morning by the dozens."；"Dozens of people came to see me."；"I have been to dozens of countries."
當 dozen 前面有數字時，它是採用不加 s 的複數型態 -- 即 dozen。例如："Send me three dozen eggs."；"I paid eight dozen dollars for that pen." 不加 s 的複數型態通常也不用 「of 介系詞片語」來修飾。所以，"A dozen of eggs." 為非標準英語。
然而，當 of 後面的受詞為代名詞或明確的(或特定的)名詞時 (所謂明確的或特定的名詞，就是名詞的前面加上 the, that, this, these, those 及所有格，如 my, John's 等等。由於 dozen 後面必須接複數名詞，所以在此 this 和 that 不適用。)，「數字 + dozen + of」則是一種標準的句型，請看下面的句子："Three dozen of them went to the U.S."；"Two dozen of these cups were broken."； "Eight dozen of his troop were killed."；"More than one dozen of those apples have taken away."

不確定的數量時才可以加S
hundreds of students 上百名學生
thousands of flowers 上千朵花
dozens of eggs 好幾打的蛋

因為eggs是複數，自然就接 are 囉！
