1追求, 繼續進行
例: Kristin pursued her acting career with great determination. 克里斯汀意志堅定地追求她的表演事業。

2 (搭配詞組) : pursue the matter/argument/question 追究某件事/繼續爭論/追查某問題
例: Janet did not dare pursue the matter too far. 珍妮特不敢深入追查那件事。

3 〔尤指為抓捕﹑襲擊等而〕緊隨…之後; 追捕, 追擊
例: Briggs ran across the field with one officer pursuing him. 布里格斯跑過田地, 一名警官正在追捕他。

1. 基本上這兩個都是相同的意義：有追趕、追求、追捕等意義

2. pursue為動詞、pursuit為名詞
Pursue最常當作"及物"動詞 - 後面跟著名詞當作受詞。
例如：
I want to pursue my goal. (我要追求我的目標)
The football start was pursued by many fans yesterday. (那位足球明星在昨天被很多球迷追逐)

*此外，pursue有一個比較奇特的意思：to engage in (持續做、忙於)
例如：He was pursuing a hobby of collecting stamps. (他一直從事於集郵這個嗜好)

3. pursue 常用的句型如上：動詞＋名詞受詞
pursuit是名詞，用法比較多元
例如：
He catched the thief with much pursuit. (他抓到這個賊經過許多追捕)
