più che tenersi in contatto o teniamoci in contatto vuol dire "fatti sentire" perchè la frase è rivolta a lui/lei. diversamente la frase sarebbe stata we keep in touch.

in = in
touch = tocco
oppure
to touch = toccarsi
Quindi messo insieme prende il significato di "Tenersi in contatto"
