1.Tell him the news when he comes back tomorrow.
2.Tell me the time when he will come back tomorrow.
這兩句都有when但為什麼第一句要用comes，
而第二句要用will come這兩句要如何判斷，
想破頭都想不出來...請高手為我說明一下吧!!

如果是現在是代替未來....可以說明一下怎樣的句型才要用現在是代替未來呢?那未啥第二句就不用呢?

因為這兩個句子中的when是完全不一樣的
1. Tell him the news when he comes back tomorrow.
當他明天回來的時候，就告訴他這個消息
這邊的when是附屬連接詞
意思是''當…的時侯''
它的功用是連接主要子句Tell him the news和附屬子句he comes back tomorrow
而且句子也可改寫成When he comes back tomorrow, tell him the news.
當條件句的時態是未來式的時候一定要用現在式代替
這是文法上的規定
when he comes back tomorrow是一個條件句
所以絕對不可以寫成when he will come back tomorrow
至於什麼是條件句
簡單的說就是這件事不一定會發生
當他明天有回來的時候(條件成立)，就告訴他這個消息
當他明天沒有回來的時候(條件不成立)，就不必了
2. Tell me the time when he will come back tomorrow.
告訴我他明天回來的時間
這邊的when是關係副詞
關係副詞的用法和關係代名詞很像
引導後面的關係子句he will come back tomorrow
來修飾前面表示時間的名詞
你可以這樣去思考:
告訴我時間 + when + 他明天回來
= 告訴我他明天回來的時間
"他明天回來"修飾"時間''

這是現在式代替未來式！所以地一句也可寫成→Tell him the news when he will come back tomorrow,但通常的用法都是用現在式代替未來式，很少人直接用未來式！
