I believe if you are talking about cool people, the man is Michael Schumacher and the woman is Claudia Schiffer.
But the most known people from Germany certainly is Adolph Hitler. It isn't good, but is real.

german man: Hans Donner, TV designer for GLOBO TV. Very known through Carnival TV appearences and programme editions for GLOBO TV
german woman: Olga Benario Prestes. Recently registered as a film about the world war 2. she has been deported to Germany after the brazilian government under Getulio Vargas has had discovered that she was supporting the left oriented "coluna prestes" movement.
