至於"站台"英文似乎沒有特定的字來描述。
不過其實'輔選"跟"站台"在意思上來講其實差不多，都有在選舉中拉抬選情的意思。差別就在於，一般來講"站台"比較常出現在在一些活動上(例如造勢大會)，所以表示為：

或
{help to boost someone's support in some event/activity
{help someone to boost his support in some event/activity
例如：
DPP chairman Yu Shyi-kun campaigned for Chen Chu in the large-scale event in sunday.(民進黨主席游錫堃禮拜天在大規模造勢活動上為陳菊站台)
或
President went to the south to boost the supports of the DPP candidates in the rally.(總統到南部去在造勢活動上替民進黨的候選人站台)

應該是滿適合的

我的確在最近國內的選舉新聞(第二則)http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/taiwan/archives/2006/11/24/2003337647看到"campaign for+人"的用法(在民視英文新聞也看過)，看到Kevin的回答，我查了一下英文的字典，裡面對campaign作動詞時的解釋是這樣(貼在補充意見裡)：其中似乎沒有限制campaign只能接事情or職位，所以"campaign for+人"應該是OK的，若有誤請指教。
