my IS workbook said
'...every substances are made up of atoms...'
substance are made up of particles so why we dun say that particles are basic unit?
okay if atoms are basic unit
so why we dun say that neutrons, electrons, protons are basic unit ar?

Atoms are not basic units of matter.

Atoms compose of protons, neutrons and electrons. These particles in turn compose of more basic particles, called elementary particles, such as quarks. More and more elementary particles have been discovered in the past 50 years and still there are lots of them waiting our discovery.
