輔警除了在肩章上的號碼前多了一個A字之外，基本上他們的裝備與一般正規警察無異；一樣是獲配備佩槍、伸縮警棍、對講機、胡椒噴霧等正常裝備。
輔警於接受訓練時也和正規警察一樣，必須要接受槍械、警棍及胡椒噴霧等武器的應用訓練，經訓練合格才可以獲准畢業及調派到各警區執勤。

When an auxilary police on beat patrol, of course, they will carry a revolver. But when they conducting Crowd Managment, May be most of them (Constable) will not carry the firearm.
