What would you tell a foreign visitor about the naming traditions in your country?

While every country owns its tradition, some Chinese believe that
good names can prevent bad luck and encourage good luck.
For instance, "four" is unlucky because it sounds like the word for death.
On the other hand, in Taiwanese "pineapple"
sounds similar to something prosperous is coming.
Just like people in other countries have their own taboos,
we just try to control our own fate in the way we can make it.
