but why in Yahoo Dictolary it is not!???

generally use "porridge'= 粥, congee is also correct, but most foreign seldom say congee gar wor, they normally use porridge!

Actually, foreign do use congee. I am now in US, I know they do.

其實喺一般嘅字典都查唔到呢個字, 相信呢個可能係俗字或新字, 唔係一個傳統嘅英文字. 所以喺傳統字典搵唔到.

In some Asian countries, they refer our Asian 粥 as porridge.
However, in western countries, porridge refers to Oatmeal porridge 麥粥. Oatmeal cooked in milk.
Our Asian 粥 is called Congee by westerners.
