Non si sa come questi nomi venissero pronunciati; non si sa neppure quali fossero le vocali; i popoli semiti scrivevano solo le consonanti (come si fa in stenografia o nei messaggini) e le vocali le lasciavano all'interpretazione dei lettori.
Quello che dici ASSURBANIPAL veniva scritto SRBNPL per cui su vecchi testi di storia viene anche pronunciato SARBANAPALO
ma potrebbe essere ASSURBINAPUL, come quando leggo CMQ che è CENTIMETRO QUADRO o COMUNQUE.
