關係代名詞that需要先行詞"the thing"
疑問代名詞不需要先行詞
(大家所接受的事實只是相對的, 而非絕對的事實)

2.He wasn't asked to take on the chairmanship of the society , because he was considered to be insufficiently popular with all members.
=He wasn't asked to take on the chairmanship of the society , considered insufficiently popular with all members.
這是把兩個對等子句(以連接詞because連接), 改寫成分詞構句, 而且是被動語態. 所以用過去分詞.
"be considered to be + 形容詞": 表示"被認為...", 其中"to be"可以省略.
(因為被認為並未受到所有會員足夠的支持, 他並未受邀擔任學會的主席)
