Hello, I am a German. I am learning portuguese and I would like to move to Rio de Janeiro next year. I heard there is a lot of criminality and it is dangerous in Rio and in Sao Paulo. Is it really that bad? Where are good places to live?

The violence is in all part of the world, is Brazilian was born in Rio De Janeiro and today I live in Minas Gerais, a called city Viçosa, excellent place to live itself, I did not come to live here for no reason of violence and yes because I am married a miner UAI! It comes to live or to take a walk in Minas Gerais I guarantee that you will be welcome. I have many friends of its country here studying in the UFV

Don´t move to Rio. Stay in Germany.
It is safer i n Germany. there are no A-Bombs, no Nazi, no ****** killers, no War treats of americans over muslums and who ever is against their "democracy, etc....
Why move to Rio ?

a really like to live in brazil
i have many friends in rio and it´s true, they always says about criminality...but it´s a wonderful place and they love their city
i live in são paulo and i think is better then rio when we´re talking about criminality
our night life is ... the best: discos, restaurants, theaters, museums and in 2 hours, beutiful places
i really like to live here
but...are you really foreign...look like you´re learning english...

Yes... there's a lot of criminality... but there are maaaaaaany places you can live... I live in a small city called Santo André near Sao Paulo... it's really a good place to live... but it's very hard to live here... gotta work a lot... why are you moving?
