i live in south california but now i need to move back to taiwan (actually is penghu). i just have some clothes and books maybe 5~6 boxes. does somebody knows that how i can send back my stuff is cheap and convenient. thank you very much......

你也只能選擇空運還是海運. 通常海運是比較便宜的(差差不多十倍的價錢),不過海運是算貨櫃箱跟你的行李多少是無關的,而空運則是秤重. 所以你的行李如果都很重,那還是買一個貨櫃箱比較划算

海運唯一的缺點就是要等差不多一個月以上,才領得到箱子,但是價錢真的差很多

sorry everybody. that's a question for asking help taht how can i send my stuff back to penghu from south california as cheap as possible. i know shipping is cheaper than air. thank you guys

Well, the cheapest way would be via seafreight. You can find a local seafreight forwarder and ask for to door prices. You mentioned 5-6 boxes; the estimated seafreight cost (on board the ship) would be about USD 1~2, depends on the sizes of your boxes. However, the inland transportation fee from your house to the designated US dock plus customs clearance in Taiwan plus transportation cost from Taiwan dock to your house would cost more. Sums up, via seafreight would still be cheaper than airfreight.

Well, there are two ways that you can send your stuff back to Taiwan. First, you can send them back by airlines like FedEx. I know it's expensive but convenient. If you need those stuff in a hurry, I will suggest you send them by airlines. I believe there are other companies which are cheaper than FedEx. Second, you can send them back by ship. It normally takes months to arrive Taiwan. However, it will lots cheaper to do this way. You have to ask yourself that will you use those stuff in a short period. If not, you can just send those stuff back to Taiwan by shipping. It's all depend on you! :)
