一題英文文法題 (有關句子中「逗點」是否加正確)

您文法上沒有使用錯誤。
這是關係子句的用法(我不確定名子有沒有講錯，反正就是承接逗點前面的句子並加以敘述)。

而我的看法是，原句可能為 "The reports were devastating, which say that ........"
把原來的進行式動詞前面卡一個關代，然後動詞由前面主角"The reports"來判斷動詞要不要加s。

這些令人驚訝的報導陳述那五間房水的小客房(還是其他什麼房水的東西?)被淹沒了。

並沒有錯，是用來 補 充 說 明 前 面 的 報 導 是 哪 則 報 導 (saying that five watertight compartments were flooded. 的 那 則。)

say 前，省略主詞 The reports，所以加 ing 。
= The reports which said that five watertight compartments were flooded were devastating .


同樣的用法，例如：The girl is so beautiful , walking with a little boy .
(那女孩很漂亮，和一個小男生走在一起的那個。)
