英文動詞當主詞時不是要...

動詞當主詞時不是要加ing嗎?
像是
Playing the piano.
那為何
Point to the teacher.
的Point不用加ing阿??

句子由主詞+動詞所主成,但是,除了"祈使句","分詞構句" 外,因為省略主詞的關係,所以你看不到主詞,但祈使句還是個完整句(主詞是you)

e.g. 祈使句 : (You) open the door.

分詞構句 : When I walked along the street, I saw Mary jogging.
---> Walking along the street, I saw Mary jogging.

另外,為了表"目的"時，只能用 (In order) to V, 而不是用原形動詞

e.g. In order to study abroad, I have to work hard.
--->To study abroad, I have to work hard.
