just come across a friend on the street 。just 「恰好、正巧」，為一副詞﹝ad.﹞。to come across a friend on the street 遇到朋友，又是恰好碰到，這樣的情境﹝context﹞多發生在街上。中文表達時，為求精簡、扼要，我以「偶遇」涵括上述英文內容﹝just come across + sb. + on the street ﹞；修除英文餘贅的部份，又能清楚傳達語意。

很快改變.
come across ~~是動詞片語，意思是 "突然遇見某人，某事", 例如
While I was walking to school this morning, I came across my high school friend.
當我今天早上走路上學時，我遇見我高中時代的朋友.
3. 這是因為大家都相信大蒜淨化的功能可傳至超自然世界.
garlic 是大蒜, effect 是功用, 效果 中間的 purifying 是形容詞, 用來形容後面的
effect.

※ run out of 是個片語，將貯存的…用完。
2.恰巧在將上碰到一位朋友。
※come across 是個片語，在此翻成偶然碰到。前面 for (因為)在這裡當介係詞，因此連接的子句若是動詞，需要變成 Ｖing，故這裡用 comimg。
3.大蒜淨化的效果。
carry over 繼續存在。其他的應該沒什麼問題吧…。
