WHEN DO YOU USE THE WORD \"CONGRATULATIONS\"(恭喜)?

When do you congratulate people and tell them that you are glad (高興)about
their achievement (成就) or happy event(快樂的事情)? Look at the list (列舉) below (以下)and guess (猜)
which event should NOT be congratulated.

1) a graduation (畢業) from school
2) a wedding (婚禮)
3) the birth (出生)of a baby
4) a funeral (葬禮)
5) an announcement (宣布)of an engagement (訂婚) (two people planning to be married)
6) winning an award (獎項) or prize (獎)
7) getting a better, higher-paying (高薪) job

If you guessed number 4, a funeral, you are correct (正確). A funeral is where
people mourn (哀悼) the death of someone. It is usually (通常) not a time when you
congratulate people.
